We support 182 partner organisations working with children in institutional care, vulnerable communities, and those needing specialised protection and support
Our work under this area of Grants initially focused on street-connected children and has since expanded to include the ones who have been abandoned, orphaned, rescued from difficult circumstances, or separated from their families. We support organisations that provide care, education, healthcare, psychosocial support, rehabilitation, and assistance with reintegration into families and communities.
We work with children living in childcare institutions, supporting access to safe environments, quality care, education, healthcare, and psychosocial support. For young adults leaving institutional care, our partners provide aftercare support, including education, skills development, livelihood opportunities, and emotional assistance as they transition towards independent living.
Our partners also work with children in urban settlements, construction sites, brick kilns, peri-urban areas, and underserved rural regions. Their programmes include safe spaces, after-school support, bridge education, remedial learning, nutrition, healthcare, sports, recreation, arts, and life-skills education. These interventions help children enrol in and remain in school, while also supporting their health and well-being.

Another area of work involves children affected by sexual abuse, both online and offline, child labour, and trafficking. Organisations provide case management, psychosocial counselling, legal aid, educational support, healthcare, and assistance in accessing social protection schemes and compensation. This support helps children and their families address immediate needs and pursue recovery, justice, and rehabilitation.
We also support organisations working with children in conflict with the law. Their interventions include counselling, education, vocational training, legal assistance, rehabilitation, and support for reintegration into families and communities.
Some partners focus on children living with serious health conditions, including cancer and HIV. Their work includes facilitating healthcare, nutritional support, treatment adherence, and psychosocial care for children and their families.
Alongside direct services, we support efforts to strengthen the systems around children. This includes working with families, caregivers, communities, and relevant institutions to improve awareness of child rights and responses to abuse, exploitation, and exclusion. We are also exploring support for children of prisoners, children living with thalassemia, and other groups whose needs remain inadequately addressed.
