We support more than 160 organisations working with vulnerable girls, women, and gender and sexual minorities (GSM)
Our partners address gender-based violence and discrimination, while helping women, girls, and GSM communities access support, justice, essential services, and entitlements.
Much of this work is rooted in community-based support systems. Community resource centres and drop-in centres provide counselling, legal assistance, help with accessing entitlements, and other services. Women’s and girls’ collectives create spaces for solidarity, discuss issues affecting their communities, and advocate for change. Trained community peer leaders provide first-response support, assist survivors, and take up social action.
For survivors of gender-based violence, partners provide sustained casework to help them access justice, services, and compensation. This support may also include counselling, shelter, healthcare, and assistance with rebuilding their lives. Alongside individual support, partners work with communities to challenge the normalisation of violence and discrimination.

For GSM communities, our partners work to improve access to basic rights and services, including safe shelter, healthcare, legal aid, gender-affirming services, and livelihood opportunities. They also address the stigma and discrimination that prevent people from accessing these services and exercising their rights.
Our partners also engage with the police, One Stop Centres, protection officers, legal services, child welfare officers, local leaders, and government officials. These relationships help strengthen referral systems and improve access to government schemes, services, and entitlements.
The work also includes building awareness and understanding of gender, rights, and violence among adolescent girls and other community members. Through education, peer engagement, and collective action, partners support people in recognising discrimination, seeking assistance, and responding to issues affecting their lives.
All our work in Gender Justice is carried out through our partner organisations.
